Nikon Shoots the Big Island Coastline

While it may have started out as a marketing gimmick to boost his business, Brian Powers' aerial photo-mapping project has turned to an entirely different direction. For five days, the owner of Hawaiian Images Photography and Video snapped away with his Nikon D100 while flying at 500 feet, mapping out the entire coastline of the Big Island. The aerial feat in of itself is already impressive, but the fact that no one has conducted such a survey in the first place is also astounding.
