Great discussion. I haven't listened to every single word yet but I don't believe you mentioned what was important to me in choosing the D90 - the flash controller. Using the pop-up flash as a controller gives you an extra off-camera flash compared to the D5000 for example. Another advantage - having the built in focusing motor allowing use of older style autofocus lenses.
