You say it’s your Birthday

Birthday-logo_110.jpgBirthday best wishes for your friends in the Nikonians community are now available.
You may have noticed in the upper right corner of the forums, and on our Nikonians home pages (all three languages) a fast link to Nikonians celebrating birthdays "today" is now available.

The forum listings show the number of Nikonians celebrating birthdays today, and if your curiosity get to you, just tap the link and you will see a listing by usernames.

This new function is automatically working based on your initial registration at Nikonians.org and only registered members can see the list. Only the birth date month and day are listed. During registration, we ask for the year but that is never made public. We only need the year information to have some demographic statistics to help serve the community.

You can control your birthday listing in three easy steps. Birthday-Step1.jpg

Step 1- Go to your user menu.

Step 2 – In your user menu go to your preferences tab and scroll down until you see the “Birthday visibility” option.

Step 3 – Select either “show to all registered users” or “do not show to anyone.”

Only members who have the “show to all registered users” option in place will have their birth day and month listed in our daily updated birthdays list. As mentioned before, the year is never made public no matter which option you shoose.

Once you have made your selection, scroll down to the bottom and hit the save button.
