Nikonians Academy launches 2012 calendar

Nikonians-Academy-News-Bog.jpgNikonians Academy Director Mike Hagen has been coordinating an aggressive new schedule for the new year. Mike tells us the highlights include more adventure trips and a new instructor who is very familiar to the Nikonians community.

in_the_field_1.jpg Here is Mike's report:

Thank you very much to all of our Nikonians Academy attendees who participated in workshops with us in 2011. All of us at the Academy are grateful for your support and enthusiasm for photography. We truly couldn't offer our workshops without you, and look forward to the next time we meet.

Our 2011 photo adventures truly spanned the globe while we taught photography to hundreds and hundreds of Nikonians, Canonites and Pentaxians. We have more photo adventures waiting for you in 2012 and we've only just begun adding workshops to the calendar.

Now, with eight professional instructors, we bring you topics that range from learning your cameras to studio photography to architectural photography to software to landscape photography to safaris in far off places around the world. In addition, we have more adventure trips in 2012 than we've ever scheduled.

RichardHulbert_175.jpgSpeaking of new instructors, I'd like to formally announce the addition of Rick Hulbert to the Nikonians Academy instructor team. Rick has honed his photography skills over decades and is well known for his artistic images and humorous approach to teaching.

Rick's first workshops for the Nikonians Academy will be a new series titled Urban Photography, How to Photograph Built Environments Including Architecture and Other Places for People.

These four-day workshops are scheduled all over North America and are aimed at learning how to incorporate Architecture into your travel and people photography.

Rick has been instructing at the famous Vancouver Photo Workshops Studio and is also an Academician in the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts.

Our schedule kicks off in January with workshops in Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, San Francisco and Seattle.
- Orlando has most workshops almost sold out with a few seats remaining in the Nikon D700/D3/D3x/D3s Workshop on January 19th.
- Fort Lauderdale has seats available for Nikon D700/D3/D3s/D3x, Nikon iTTL Wireless Flash CLS, Master Adobe Lightroom 3, Master Nikon D300/D300s
- San Francisco we're running Master Nikon D300/D300s, The Passionate Photographer, Master Nikon D7000/D90/D80, Master Nikon D700/D3/D3x/D3s
- Seattle we're running Master Nikon D700/D3/D3x/D3s, Nikon iTTL Wireless Flash CLS, Master Adobe Lightroom 3

YOSF_05_250.jpgFebruary brings our first travel photography workshop called Yosemite in
Winter
A Season of Contrast -- from Feb 16 through the 19th.

Yosemite in the winter time is a photo adventure that everyone should participate in at least once in their lifetime.

Also, we'll be in Phoenix, Arizona running Master the Nikon D7000/D90/D80 and Master Adobe Lightroom 3.

March is a big month with workshops in Los Angeles CA, Dallas TX, Austin TX, Toronto ON, Montreal QC and Death Valley in the Spring.

We are still adding more workshops to the schedule for 2012, but a quick check of our calendar shows additional workshops including:
