It takes a lot of people to shoot Bond

As much as I respect renowned celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz I cannot help think what almost any decent photographer could do with a prop dock on a tropical island, Sean Connery all dressed up, lighting gear galore and about a dozen assistants.
She certainly produces nice shots, but then again: with the setup she has (and the paycheck she gets), she'd better.

Unfortunately the system I use for my "On Location" slide shows don't allow me to incorporate video (yet), but I still shoot some footage now and then when I'm on location.
These 7-and-a-half minutes were shot at the Strobist Meetup here in Copenhagen, which I covered a couple of podcasts ago. The video shows the ambiance at these meetings as well as some setups and more results from the day.
And yes, I know there are white lenses in there, but trust me, those C-shooters can actually be quite nice.
You can see a larger version of the video at Vimeo.

The Nikon folks in Swiss have been climbing mountains (literally) to get a D90 video online, and now it's there. Unfortunately it's on YouTube where the compression does little good to anything, but there will most likely be a higher quality version ready soon - if anybody dares host a large file like this.
Canon has had bad experience with Vincent Laforet's D5 MkII video "Reverie", which became so popular that Canon took it down.
The D90 video isn't quite as elaborate in its use of expensive glass, light and models, but still quite convincing. Laforet was scooting about in a helicopter over a big city with a full staff (and most of Canon's expensive lenses). The Nikon D90 was after all carried to the top of the Eiger by mere humans.

OK, I know the specs and opinions on the new Nikon D90 are spreading like wildfire on the web right now, but the number of people who handled one is still quite limited. I'm one of them. OK, Chase Jarvis had several for a while it seems, but he's Chase. I'm just Martin.
This morning Nikon Denmark presented this new Nikon consumer (maybe more prosumer) DSLR in Copenhagen, and I was invited to join.

Lastolite has a bunch of really excellent videos on using all their neat gear: backgrounds, reflectors, umbrellas and much more. Although the videos naturally do focus on Lastolite's own products and some of them just show how to pack and unpack, there are lots of great generally applicable tips on using softboxes, reflectors, backgrounds and other kinds of lighting gear.
And if you are into lighting and want to watch some more videos, The Grip Guide might be interesting to you too. This Pixel Corps production comes out with irregular intervals, but the archive consists of 11 videos. The show is aimed at people working within cinematography and does deal with much larger setups than most of us use for our strobes and cameras, but you will find plenty tips, which are very useful for studio flash or off camera strobe work.
