I did some initial tests on focusing in the shadows. It appeared a bit faster to start and finish the hunt.

WOW!

Then I put the new 50mm f1.4 AFS-G lens on. This didn't really focus any better than the original 50mm f1.4 AF lens. But after the firmware upgrade, this lens now focuses much quicker. The way I was hoping and expecting it too.
