Going to Photokina

I'll be leaving for Köln Monday morning and spend a few days in the paradise of photography at Photokina. Well, it may be mayhem to some, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
Photokina is an excellent place to meet people and stuff related to photography. Largely everybody who is someone in the business will be there, and if you have any particular product you want to see there is probably few better places to look.
I have just been browsing the web site listing all the exhibitors, and
all I can say is that this will be a couple of busy days. First of all
I'll have to meet all the fellow Nikonians that are expected down
there, and secondly I have a list of companies that I want to meet and
whose products I want to see, and last but not least I will just browse
and let the current drive me to whatever comes along. The last part is
quite devastating and tiring, but also very inspirational. I haven't
been to Photokina before, but my many visits to similar computer events
like Cebit in Hannover while working as a computer magazine journalist
and editor-in-chief, have taught me that you need to wear sensible
shoes and that your feet as well as your head will be tired no matter
what.
One of the great things about such events is of course meeting people.
As much as I love products, I certainly like people more, and meeting
manufacturers, fellow photographers and Nikonians will be a lot of fun.
So should you be at the event Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and feel
like chatting, I will be there to chat. My base will be at the Nikonians
booth E014 in hall 02.1, but I will most likely be roaming the floor.
