Last year, when Nikon announced the Coolpix S6000, I was originally intrigued by the fact that it was to offer a RAW file. Then I found out the bad news. The RAW file produced by this Coolpix was not a NEF! Nope, a new format called NRW. Then I found out even more-- the NRW file would only be supported by Windows! What!!?? At that point, as far as I was concerned, NRW stood for Not Really Worth it.

Now that NRW is supported in NX2, where does the P6000 stack up in the compact camera sweepstakes in your view?
What compact would you buy now? Do you think something interesting is likely to happen over the summer that would make me regret a compact purchase now?
