Looks like the new Nikon DSLR is a D5000, a replacement to the D40/D60 line. Also in the works, a 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 DX lens with AF-S focusing, so D40/60/5000 users get a 15-36mm FOV equivalent lens. The real neat trick of the D5000 is the swivel LCD, which will benefit those users who use Live View. Actually, I think a swivel LCD is an awesome idea for shooting ground-level macro shots. I also like the incorporation of the D3-style D-pad with separate center button. I wish my D300 had that feature!
