We use a local park in Tucson for many of our outdoor portraits. The park offers a variety of shooting locations, and doesn't look like typical Tucson desert scenery! We always go prepared with our large Lastolite trigrip diffuser, and shoot with a Voice Activated Lightstand

We have booked 4 weddings this month, and 3 portrait sessions. Our bookings are coming about due to a combination of all of our marketing efforts. The best thing about all these February bookings is that all are new clients. No repeats or referrals.

This shot was taken with a Lastolite Tri-grip diffuser to camera left to block the harsh sun, and a little pop from an SB-900 to fill in the model.
The portrait session was for a young model who wanted some shots for portfolio. We did this session for free. This is pretty standard practice when working with a model to provide a "time for prints" exchange. This model found us through our website, but a good web site for finding models to work with is Model Mayhem. So far, our year is shaping up quite well, and we hope to surpass our 2009 bookings by a factor of 4. Right now, we're on track!
