Nikonians Featured Critique - 27-March-2006

Nikonians offers helpful feedback on your pictures in our Positive Critique and Feedback Forum. From time to time we will feature a critique which is especially helpful or insightful. Our first featured critique is by forum regular Bob Tomerlin (DrJimBob).

Here's part of what Bob had to say: I like the attempt to include the surfer in the image, but he gets lost in what appears to be another surfer behind him as well as in the shadows on the beach. I think it would have been better to get some separation and isolate the surfer against a brighter part of the image - perhaps by you getting lower so he would be against the sky. I also think you should have gotten closer to the surfer, either by walking or zooming.
