SanDisk Offers 1B in Notes; Industry Ponders a Kodak Merger
SanDisk is preparing to offer over USD 1 Billion in convertible senior notes that come due in 2013, as a means of raising capital for a significant expansion plan. This comes at a time when the imaging industry is pondering if the memory maker might just make a run at Kodak. Observers note that an aquisition of the former industry giant would allow SanDisk to drive it's own market for flash products, rather than relying on other industry players' creations.
