Weekly News From the Nikonians Academy

Academy schedule expands
From the mobile desk of Nikonians Academy Director Mike Hagen:
The Nikonians Academy has added extra Master your Nikon D200-In Depth Workshops to meet demand.

D200-Academy.jpg In fact, we have a new one open in Las Vegas for Thursday February 14.

The full day of instruction covers the fundamentals to help you master setups and menus and then takes you to the next step: harnessing the features of this system to help improve your photography.

The Master your Nikon D200-In Depth workshops will also be coming to New York and Savannah on March 6; Philadelphia on March 13, Seattle on April 17 and Cincinnati and Denver on May 15.

We are really looking forward to our 4-day Advanced Digital Imaging Workflow events this year and now they'll be even better with the participation of the Nikonians Image Doctors.

Rick Walker and Jason Odell will join me to give you amazing hands-on tutorials on all the tools we use in the digital darkroom. Our classrooms will be packed with printers we can use for output as well as calibration tools to make sure your laptop is displaying correct colors. I guarantee you'll go home with a wealth of information you can use immediately in your own photography. In case you've missed our previous announcements on these 4-day workshops, they are only scheduled twice this year. They will be held in San Francisco (April 10) and Dallas (June 12).

Moab-Academy.jpg We have one available seat in our Moab, Utah travel workshop (May 5). Hurry up to be the last participant in this exciting adventure to one of America's most beautiful locations. Have you ever wanted to photograph Mesa Arch at sunrise or Balanced Rock at sunset? You have a unique opportunity to join this intrepid group of photographers, so don't let it pass you by.

If photography in the Southwest is something that's up your alley, then you might also check out the Page, Arizona trip we have planned for April 8-11. The main focus of this trip will be Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend and Glen Canyon. It is a great opportunity to combine field photography with classroom learning and critique.

That's it for this week. Now, get out and take some photos!
