One of the Academy's newest workshops, Video & Cinematography with your DSLR led by Michael Mariant, comes to Santa Barbara, California August 30 – September 1st.
Located in the beautiful coastal resort town of Santa Barbara, the workshop will introduce not only the equipment necessary for successful and dramatic HD DSLR video, but provides ample locations and subject matter to fill the short film all workshop participants will create during the four-days of instruction.
From beach volleyball to sailing, surfing and fishing on the coast … to the Spanish architecture, the historic Mission and grounds, to high-end shopping in the city … to mountain biking, hiking, wineries and landscapes in the back-country, Santa Barbara has the story for you.
All workshop participants will be provided with a list of suggested story ideas and resources prior to the workshop, to allow for individual research and study in preparation of four-days of instruction and shooting.
Looking ahead to September, Rick Hulbert's best selling Urban and Street Photography Workshop is set for September 5 - 8 in Chicago, IL.
This workshop series is designed to improve your photography regardless of whether you consider picture taking a hobby, or you are a serious enthusiast, or a professional photographer, or earn your living as a member of the global real estate, design, and construction industries.
You will learn how a basic understanding of street photography will assist in your architectural and urban photography. You will discover how the fundamental principles of travel photography will enhance your architectural and urban imaging.
While the illustrated lectures will give you the fundamental information you need, we will spend a significant portion of the workshop in the field, with hands on photography.
