Winter plans include warm options at Nikonians Academy

Academy-Hulbert-SQ-THU_120.jpgNikonians Academy instructor Rick Hulbert will be in Los Angeles next month (Dec 11-14) presenting his popular Urban and Street Photography workshop. This 4-day workshop features a calculated mix of illustrated lectures and location shooting.

While the lectures will give you the fundamental information you need, you will spend a significant portion of the workshop in the field, with hands on photography. Rick will be giving daily constructive critiques of your images, which is a key part of the learning experience.

Hulbert-Chicago_300-st.jpgYou will discover how to better frame and crop architectural and urban images using the long established basic principles of portrait, wedding, and event photography. By the way, if you are a wedding or event photographer, this workshop will take your photography up a notch as well.

Following his North American schedule, Rick heads to London starting May 21, 2015.
German speaking Nikonians can join Rick in Munich starting May 21, 2015.

Warm up your Nikon this winter
CostaRica_monkey_300.jpgWinter shooting will be a lot more comfortable for our members joining Jim Stamates in Costa Rica next year (February 28 to March 10, 2015).

This is your opportunity to warm up in the middle of winter enjoying beaches, jungles, river trips, culture and lots of birds and wildlife. Jim and Kathy Stamates will be sharing photography tips as well as their knowledge of birds, wildlife and Costa Rican travel. This adventure is limited to 12 explorers for a more personal experience.

Jim and Kathy have been traveling to Costa Rica since 1994 and have explored border to border and coast to coast. They have included their favorite places in this adventure of a lifetime. You will see, do, and photograph more in 10 days then you can imagine!

Jim's schedule expands
Jim Stamates will be busy next year, with three new wildlife photography trips posted.
His new schedule now includes:

Grand Teton Wildlife and Landscapes - Spring 2015 - (May 26-29)
