Nikonians Academy adds Steve Simon Cuba workshop

Academy-SQ-Camera-Hands_120.jpgThe Nikonians Academy has just added a new workshop to Cuba with Steve Simon, scheduled for May 28 - June 3, 2016.

We've already had quite a bit of interest and a number of signups, so don't wait around too long to secure your spot.

This trip follows Steve's famous book, The Passionate Photographer, but with a twist.
He refers to it as The Passionate Street Photographer based in Havana Cuba. You're going to love this workshop.

Simon-Cuba_325.jpgJoin Steve and Cuban photographer and guide Juan Carlos Ocana for an unforgettable week of living and breathing photography in beautiful Havana, Cuba.

This intimate six-day masterclass (limited to 10 students) will take you to some of the most picturesque, interesting and exciting locations on and off the beaten path in Havana and beyond.

Everything will be taken care of for you so you can concentrate on making amazing images of the people and the culture in Havana. You will explore vibrant, visually rich places and neighborhoods in Old Havana, often outside tourist areas for unique photo opportunities.

Mike-Hagen-125.jpgAcademy Director Mike Hagen is headed to Iceland for the fourth time this year from July 17 - 24, 2016.

His photo trip combines incredible landscape photography with bird photography. Each year, we have a great opportunity to photograph nesting puffins along the southern coast of Iceland as well as from the Westman Island chain.

Mike is posting Iceland photos on his Instagram account this week, so be sure to check out the images for some pre-trip photo inspiration.

Hulbert-Woodlands_250.jpgRick Hulbert and Mike Hagen will be teaching a full week of photography workshops in Texas from April 5th - 9th, 2016 . We have people flying in for the classes, and we expect a full house. Workshops for this event include:
- 2-day Urban and Street Photography
- Wildlife photography
- HDR and EDR photography
- Panoramas
- Lightroom for wildlife and landscapes
- Autofocus for action
- Composition for Smarties
- Strobes and Simple studio lighting with a model
- Free photo walk
